"I Have Goals To Achieve With My Business But My Staff Is Lazy. What Should I Do?"

Updated: Nov 2

If you have bigger ambitions for your business but you don’t have the team for it because they are lazy, you have to take some steps to change their mindset…

I will talk about the best ways to manage your staff so you can achieve your goals… the information below is based on research. I saw what big companies do in this situation and I decided to write an article on how to manage your staff and achieve your goals.

Hiring more people and trying to find new talents is a viable option, but it will cost you a lot of money and time to train these people.

Also, you can increase the pay roles of your employees to motivate them, but how you manage your people is the key, they need to deserve the money so let’s make them achieve your goals…

You can’t work with dumb people.

Some companies have rules like, “Don’t watch Netflix while you work.” That's pathetic, everyone knows that you shouldn’t watch Netflix while you work, you should raise your standards and fire dumb people because they are pulling you back.

If you have them, they need to go but if you have employees and you can see potential in them and you're not satisfied with their work, then it’s your fault…

YOU SHOULD HAVE DAILY MEETING WITH YOUR STAFF. One hour before or after work, remind them daily of the correct procedures you have in your business and how important your goals are for the business. Tell them that they did good but not good enough.

Take a piece of paper and write the names of every staff member…

If you ask these questions and implement them, your business will change forever…

  1. How much money did Jake make me this month? How much did he cost?

POSITIVE/NEGATIVE

  1. What tasks did they complete?

  1. How much time would have taken me to do those tasks? Is it worth the money?

Elon Musk bought Twitter and fired 7,500 people because he had negative answers to these questions. He kept the people who deserved the job and completed a lot of tasks for the company.

I understand that you like some people in your business and it’s hard for you to fire them, so what’s the solution to that situation?...

They will either improve or they need to go because if they don’t, you won’t achieve your ambitions…

Tell them your situation and they will understand, don’t fire them, offer them to help you achieve your goals, but what if they can’t help you and they work a long time in your company and it’s hard for you to fire them?...

Say to them: “Hey, I've found a guy who knows more than you and me combined about X and I want him to teach you his skills. I will pay him $2000 a month so you can learn from him and expand your skills PLUS I will achieve my goals easier.”

Now you’re not firing them but giving them a chance so they can improve their skills.

Now you will sleep easier and achieve your goals faster.
