Today I’m going to talk about stupid advertising mistakes that business owners make. In the next 3 minutes, you’ll learn how to actually make money with your advertising and measure the results from your advertising. Not just advertise.
Usually, business owners advertise for engagement, likes, views, and followers, and they think if more people see my ad, I will get more clients from the ads. Views are awesome but they are not making us money.
Coca-Cola with their ads are building their brand identity, yes that is important but not for small business. If you have a 100 million dollar marketing budget, go for it. I assume you don’t.
You need clients.
Don’t just post your work and boost the post for engagement. The boost tool is meant to give you followers and likes and it will do that but you won’t get the most of your marketing budget. Why? Because every business does the same thing.
So how can you get the best feedback from your advertising?
Direct Marketing
Have some kind of an offer...
Ask for their number, email, book an appointment, etc…
And you can see if you generated results from your ad or not, don’t just advertise for likes.
(Suggestion: don’t ask them to call you because maybe they are on a bus or a train or they are busy. Ask for their contact info. They will give it to you if they can see that you can help them and they can do that on a bus.)
Measurable Your Marketing
You need to know how much you have spent and how much you got from your ads.
If you invested $15 the goal is to make $30 back, if not stop advertising. (it depends on your service cost)
Ask people who messaged you at the end of the conversation, How did you find us?
This way you can measure your marketing and you know how much people bought your service because you asked them how did they find you.
